Keep the mark on screen
A mark that only works at poster size is a drawing. How we test marks on the surfaces people actually see.
Test at the extremes
We view every mark at 24 pixels and at building scale before it is approved. Anything that only works in the middle range is not finished.
Shed complexity gracefully
A good mark can lose detail as it shrinks and still read as itself. We design that behavior on purpose.
